Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Hub 2, a mega-sized
50.5-inch Windows 10 tablet for conference rooms. It
launches in 2019
,
though Microsoft
won't say precisely when.
Users
will be able to switch it from portrait to landscape orientation,
thanks to a hinge on the back. They'll also be able to take a bunch of
Surface Hubs 2s and turn them into one big screen.
Microsoft
won't yet divulge the device's price, but did say it will be comparable
to Google's competing Jamboard, which costs $5,000.
The original Surface Hub, which had an
83-inch screen, cost about $22,000
.
